Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 1, 2026 · Last updated: July 6, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Franksworld Solutions, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “Livewell”) handles information in connection with the Livewell mobile application (the “App”). Livewell helps anglers understand fish-consumption advisories, regulations, and fishing conditions.

The short version. Livewell is built to be privacy-respecting and works largely on your device. We do not require an account, we do not ask for your name, email, or phone number, and we do not sell your data. Your saved spots and settings stay on your device. A few features send the minimum necessary data to third parties (for example, your map location to fetch local weather, or a photo you choose to identify) — details below.

1. Information we collect and how we use it

Location

With your permission, the App uses your device location to center the map, show nearby waters, and fetch local conditions. Your coordinates are:

We do not store your location on our servers (the App has no user account and no advisory backend). You can deny or revoke the location permission at any time in your device settings; map and weather features simply won’t use your position.

Photos (optional “Photo ID” feature)

If you choose to identify a fish by photo, the image you capture or select — together with the general location context (state, county, and waterbody name) used to improve accuracy — is sent to our species-ID service to return candidate species. Identification is performed by Google’s Gemini API, which we access through our own secure proxy (hosted on Cloudflare) that accepts only fish-ID requests, not arbitrary prompts; fishial.ai may be used as an alternative provider. We do not retain your photos, and the feature is entirely optional. See Google’s and fishial.ai’s privacy practices for how they process images.

Saved spots, settings, and app data

Your saved fishing spots, preferences (units, time zone, theme, alert settings), and a cached record of your subscription status are stored only on your device. The App also downloads public advisory/waterbody data files to your device so it can work offline; these contain no personal information about you.

Subscriptions (Livewell Plus)

Optional subscriptions are processed by Google Play and managed through RevenueCat, which we use to validate purchases and determine whether premium features are unlocked. We do not receive or store your payment card details. RevenueCat may process a Google- provided, app-specific identifier and purchase metadata to manage your entitlement. See the Google Play and RevenueCat privacy policies linked below.

Notifications

If you enable the daily fishing alert or hazard alerts, the App schedules local notifications on your device based on your saved spots and locally downloaded data. These alerts are generated on-device.

Diagnostics

The third-party SDKs we use (e.g., Google Play services, the maps and billing libraries) may collect limited technical/diagnostic data as described in their own policies. We do not operate our own analytics or advertising trackers.

2. What we do not do

3. Third-party services

Livewell relies on the following services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

ServicePurpose
Google Play / Google Play servicesApp distribution, subscription billing, maps
Google Maps SDKMap rendering and your position on the map
RevenueCatSubscription validation and entitlement management
U.S. National Weather Service (NOAA)Weather and forecast data for a location
Google (Gemini API)Optional photo-based fish species identification (default)
fishial.aiOptional photo-based fish species identification (alternative)
Content delivery / hosting (e.g., Cloudflare, Backblaze B2)Hosting the public data files the App downloads, and routing optional photo-ID requests to the identification service

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties; please review their policies for details.

4. Device permissions

You can grant or revoke each permission in your device settings at any time.

5. Data retention and security

Because most data stays on your device, you control it: uninstalling the App or clearing its storage removes your saved spots, settings, and downloaded data. Information sent to third parties (e.g., coordinates to the weather service, a photo to our fish-ID service — Google’s Gemini API or fishial.ai) is retained per their policies. We use reasonable technical measures, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

6. Children’s privacy

Livewell is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will address it.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. Because Livewell does not maintain accounts or a personal database about you, the most direct controls are on your device: manage permissions, clear app storage, or uninstall the App. Manage subscriptions in the Google Play Store. For any privacy request, contact us at the address below.

8. International users

Livewell covers U.S. fishing advisories and is intended for use in the United States. If you use the App elsewhere, you understand that any data sent to the services above may be processed in the United States and other countries.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, noted in the App. Your continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
